Saving Gotham Without The Batmobile
25 May – 29 Jun 2024
Björn Siebert's exhibition, Saving Gotham Without The Batmobile, delves into contemporary photographic narratives in his latest series #1 (2024). Departing from traditional approaches, Siebert embraces photofiction, navigating interpretation amidst the chaotic sea of social media images. Inspired by amateur photographers, he uncovers hidden stories, building on his Remakes series. This fragmented narrative explores the zeitgeist of net culture, inviting contemplation on image perception and identity shaping.
Jakob Limmer
s.t.e.i.n.
13 Apr – 17 May 2024
In Jakob Limmer's work, the boundary becomes deftly blurred between the anticipation and the challenge, inviting viewers into a world - where experimentation flourishes and ideas go beyond mere contemplation and manifest themselves tangibly in the physical realm. At the intersection of questioning authority and power, the artist focuses on exploring the hidden. Positioned at the interface of rebellion and curiosity, Limmer's works surprise and encourage viewers to venture into the unexplored territories of the mind.
In his upcoming exhibition s.t.e.i.n., the artist presents a collection of works that seamlessly integrate different techniques. Each stroke and shade testifies to an imaginative journey with origins as diverse as they are intriguing. From silicone to foam, Limmer's works exude an mystifying aura, drawing observers into a realm where the ordinary is transformed into the extraordinary.Martin Böttger
Slough
08 Mar – 06 Apr 2024
The exhibition SLOUGH showcases an installation comprising objects and components from ongoing and future hybrid developments, along with artifacts or fragments from a later futuristic stage of evolution, reminiscent of a molting process called ecdysis. These objects collectively paint a somber vision of our future world, providing glimpses into the remnants of human existence and technology. The boundaries between the organic and the artificial are blurring, giving rise to objects that were once integral parts of our society but have now become cryptic relics of the past.

NOT QUITE YET
20.10 - 8.12.2023
“NOT QUITE YET” is the first solo exhibition of Viktoria Sophie Conzelmann. In it she introduces the viewer to a world of her observations and conceptions that oscillate around the processes within life cycles and the hidden capacities of things. For the creation of her works, she uses organic, transitional and solid materials where steel, carbon and glass play principal roles. These components, which are extensively used and fabricated by humans, are displayed by Conzelmann in an innovative way. While presenting heavy materials with a delicate and even soft touch, she reveals latent capabilities and compositions concealed within the objects and their substances. Her interconnected elements invite us to shift focus to the ongoing interactions among the micro and the macro and the subtlety of their balances. During the opening, she deepened the audience's perspective with her literary performance.
